We are truly honored that you are here.

Our goats are a part of our family, we have poured a lot of time, energy, tears and love into each one of our animals. We ask that you do the same and therefore, might be asking a few questions about your farm upon inquiry. At the time of sale, show stock will be free of disqualifying faults at the time of pick up. We include an individual med sheet for each goat of any past medical history. We will take each animal’s temperature at departure to ensure no fever at the time that they are leaving our farm and will keep a picture for documentation. However, once they leave our farm, there are no other guarantees to the future health, height, or quality of the animal, so please note: our sales are Caveat Emptor.

Purchasing kids: We do not take reservations but will maintain a wish list. Please contact me and let me know which breeding(s) you are interested in and I will add you to the list. I reserve the right to retain any kid. Once I know what will be available from that kidding, you will be contacted. When you have made your selection a 50% non-refundable deposit (no kid will be held until deposit is made) is required to hold the kid until pick-up arrangements can be finalized. In the event something happens between time of birth and pickup, I'll gladly refund your deposit or apply it toward a baby that would also fit your needs, whichever you prefer. The remaining balance is due prior to selected kid(s) leave our farm. Kids will be available for pickup at 8 weeks old for bucks and doe’s 8 weeks or later as agreed upon. Our kids are dam raised, well socialized and will be disbudded (no exceptions unless naturally polled). Kids are priced primarily based on the success of the dam in the show ring, DHIR and linear appraisal.

Purchasing Adult Goats: A 50% non refundable deposit is required to hold the animal. Adult goats must be picked up within 2 weeks or a $2/day boarding fee will be charged unless otherwise agreed upon. The remaining balance is due in 2 weeks at pick-up. A doe sold as exposed/bred is not guaranteed to be pregnant, just that she recieved normal service from the buck. If a bred doe is purchased she MUST be picked up before the last month of pregnancy (unless otherwise agreed upon) or the resulting offspring will become the property of Old Rugged Cross.

Payment/Transport: I can accept paypal on certain terms but funds must be sent via friends and family option - otherwise checks and cash are welcome too. Any and all costs associated with shipping or transportation, including any health certificates and related testing, are the responsibility of the buyer. Transportation is the buyers responsability - We would be more than happy to help make arrangements, but ultimately it's up to you how it should be done. All funds must be cleared before pickup.  All monies received are non refundable should the purchaser back out. If you back out for any reason, our deal is completed. I reserve the right to refuse any sale without explanation (the deposit would be immediately refunded of course). All goats are sold as healthy at the time they leave the farm and no other guarantees to the future health or quality of the animal is guaranteed.  Our herd is tested annually for CAE and any new animals for CAE and Johnes.
